I appreciate the artist’s who created these illustrations so many years ago. There are so many beautiful images available to use through the internet that were created hundreds of years ago. I treasure these images. It would be amazing to actually own one of these journals or books, but the next best thing is having there beautiful images available to us to adorn our homes.
These particular illustrations are from the albums Plantarum Indigenarum on the Biodiversity Heritage Library website. There are hundreds of beautiful images in these albums. I’ve done some color correcting and cropping of the images to allow them to fit in an 8″ x 10″ or 11″ x 14″ frame. I hope that these prints help someone economically gain some art to make their home a more colorful, inviting place. There are also a few other collections that I have put together from these albums. I’ll link those below.
Royal Blue and Yellow Botanical Prints
Below, I will provide the jpeg files for the images and powerpoint files that are formatted to be printed on letter or ledger size paper. The letter size option has the image sized to 8″ x 10″ and the settings formatted to print on letter size paper (8.5″ x 11″). The ledger size option has the image sized to 11″ x 14″ and the settings formatted to print on ledger size paper (11″ x 17″).

The frames that I chose to go with these botanical prints are from Ikea, which is, in my opinion, the most economical place to find picture frames. The selection is low, but if you want black, silver, gray, or the wood style shown above, the price can’t be beat. An 8″ x 10″ Jallvik frame (pictured below) is $6.99 and the 11″ x 14″ frame is $12.99.
